IT Project Manager

IT Project Manager Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA) – Supporting Sizewell C

Help Shape the UK’s Energy Future

As part of the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), you will support the construction of Sizewell C, a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes. This role will play a key role in shaping the UK’s energy future, ensuring reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years. This position will be within the CWA Wide Section.

What will you do?

The IT Project Manager (PM) role is based within the Alliance IT and Digital Team, reporting to the Alliance IT Programme Manager. The key responsibilities include supporting all Alliance partners in their IT needs, with a focus on ensuring alignment with proven technology.

Principal Accountabilities, Activities and Decisions

  • Work across IT and business engagements, maintaining collaboration between the Alliance IT Team and Partner IT Teams.
  • Prepare internal and external reports to support stakeholder communication.
  • Apply robust scope, information, and configuration management principles to ensure clarity and consistency.
  • Provide start-to-finish application delivery, overseeing implementation from initiation to handover/closeout.
  • Ensure ألفdéference** reports contain relevant, actionable data supporting cost-effective decision-making that aligns with strategic objectives.
  • Develop and execute team plans to achieve project goals.
  • Log and escalate issues that exceed delegated authority levels.
  • Monitor KPIs against project objectives and track performance metrics.
  • Encourage adoption of productivity and project control techniques.
  • Balance both operational and commercial constraints in decision-making.
  • Advocate for consistency and reliability of digital data to drive data-driven decisions.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven project delivery track record.
  • Strong understanding of standard contract forms.
  • Proficient in commercial and project management communication.
  • Experience in implementing safe systems of work.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills (across all organisational levels).
  • Strong team management skills—capable of empowering, influencing, and inspiring teams.
  • Ability to mentor and support team members as needed.
  • Commercially astute, able to perform under high-pressure conditions.
  • In-depth knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated solution-based problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to articulate project vision and inspire a shared purpose within the team.
