Job Summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a highly experienced and motivated IT Project Manager to join our IT department.

In this role, you will be responsible for the full end-to-end delivery of complex IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with IME project Governance and Control lifecycle standards. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams through a matrix management approach to deliver a variety of technologies, ranging from Cloud and Infrastructure to BI and application development.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

In this role, you will:

  • Lead End-to-End Delivery: Take primary responsibility for project initiation through to closure, maintaining project plans, financial reporting, and risk/issue registers to ensure delivery remains on track and within agreed scope.
  • Manage Resources and Teams: Shape, build, and motivate project teams through matrix management, overseeing both permanent and contractual staff to drive high performance and project success.
  • Ensure Quality and Governance: Oversee the quality of all project deliverables, ensuring all technical solutions meet business requirements, architectural standards, and are approved by relevant governance boards.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients and stakeholders at all levels, planning facilitated sessions for design, analysis, and problem resolution.
  • Vendor and Supplier Management: Contribute to the selection and management of technical partners, software vendors, and contract agencies to ensure efficient service delivery.

What You’ll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Security Clearance: Must possess valid UK Government SC Clearance!
  • Experience: Strong experience in a Project Management role within a multifaceted technology environment (strong IT experience preferred).
  • Technical Expertise: Proven record of accomplishment of delivering Infrastructure, BI, Cloud, and web-based solutions, with thorough knowledge of MS Project.
  • Methodology: Formal training in project methodologies such as Prince 2 or APMP, with a strong awareness of both Waterfall and Agile frameworks.
  • Leadership & Communication: Excellent influencing skills with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels and manage project budgets effectively.
  • Education: Basic Business Analysis skills and a commitment to quality-focused best practices.
