Job Description
What You Can Expect
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:00 (30-minute unpaid break)
Project Delivery & Execution
- Lead regional WMS implementation and migration projects from initiation to go-live, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, cost, and quality standards.
- Translate portfolio priorities and project objectives into structured execution plans, milestones, and delivery commitments.
- Proactively manage project risks, dependencies, issues, and escalations, ensuring timely intervention and sound decision-making.
- Safeguard delivery quality by maintaining visibility on progress, bottlenecks, deviations, and corrective actions.
- Ensure outcome-oriented execution, balancing standardization, customer needs, and operational feasibility.
People Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and manage a team of functional and technical consultants/project-assigned specialists within the Regional Implementation Centres (RIC) structure.
- Plan, allocate, and rebalance resources across projects in line with priorities, capacity, competencies, and delivery commitments.
- Drive performance, accountability, and behaviours aligned with a high-performing project delivery culture.
- Provide coaching, feedback, evaluation, and development guidance to team members.
- Support capability development and succession readiness by identifying skills, experience, and role maturity gaps.
Portfolio, Demand & Capacity Management
- Maintain an up-to-date regional project pipeline with clear visibility on demand, status, capacity, and execution outlook.
- Structure and translate incoming business demand into realistic planning scenarios (countries, business development, regional stakeholders).
- Align priorities, resource needs, sequencing, and delivery trade-offs with the Head of RIC NW.
- Create transparency on workload, consultant utilization, and execution constraints to support prioritization and governance decisions.
- Contribute to regional planning cycles and master planning by ensuring project demand and delivery capacity are aligned.

Collaboration With the WMS Architect
- Work closely with the WMS Architect to ensure solution designs translate into executable and realistic project plans.
- Safeguard operational handover from design to implementation; ensure the team understands scope, dependencies, and design intent.
- Identify and address execution risks or delivery gaps together with the WMS Architect.
- Maintain project momentum, remove obstacles, and protect project outcomes without undermining design governance.
Stakeholder & Partner Management
- Act as the key regional IT counterpart for project execution towards country IT teams, business stakeholders, Business Development, Engineering, Group IT, and BY Competence Center.
- Build effective cross-functional working relationships to ensure timely decisions, aligned expectations, and executable projects.
- Establish clear governance and escalation paths for cross-functional decisions.
- Facilitate alignment between business expectations, solution direction, and delivery capability.
- Represent the RIC perspective in regional/cross-functional discussions on capacity, risk, and execution readiness.
Migration & Transformation Delivery
- Lead migration from legacy/sunset systems to WMS platforms and related applications.
- Ensure structured, repeatable, and controlled migration execution across design, preparation, testing, cut-over, and stabilization phases.
- Safeguard delivery readiness across systems, environments, data, interfaces, and team capabilities.
- Drive predictability in transformation programs through disciplined planning, issue resolution, and follow-up.
- Ensure transitions contribute to a scalable, low-complexity application landscape.
Governance, Standards & Ways of Working
- Ensure adherence to Rhenus governance principles, methodologies, templates (e.g., JIRA), and tooling standards.
- Promote disciplined execution through structured planning, reporting, issue management, and decisions.
- Drive consistent project controls, deliverables, and quality checkpoints across the regional portfolio.
- Escalate major risks, deviations, or constraints factually and timely to the Head of RIC NW.
- Embed a project-driven, performance-oriented culture across the delivery organisation.
Continuous Improvement & Value Orientation
- Continuously improve delivery predictability, efficiency, and transparency across project services in the RIC.
- Identify improvement opportunities in staffing, planning, governance, and delivery methods and translate them into action.
- Contribute to the professionalisation of regional project services by standardising best practices.
- Enhance effectiveness and business value of migration and transformation initiatives.
- Support the Head of RIC in monitoring key delivery indicators and scaling value from projects.

- Assist Business Development in shaping feasible customer solutions and approaches.
- Provide delivery insights on timelines, resources, risks, and feasibility during pre-sales/preparation phases.
- Ensure project approaches are realistic, scalable, and aligned with capabilities and standards.
- Strengthen customer proposals with reliable delivery assumptions.

What You Bring
Required Skills & Experience
- University degree (or equivalent) in information technology, logistics, industrial engineering, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of IT project delivery experience, ideally in WMS, logistics, warehouse automation, or complex application environments.
- Proven leadership in managing teams (allocation, coaching, performance steering).
- Track record in implementation, migration, transformation, or multi-site project environments.
- Deep understanding of business processes, IT applications, integrations, and operational execution.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication across business, IT, and management.
- Experience in matrix organisations and multi-country delivery structures.
- Pragmatic, structured, and high-pressure resilient with an outcome-driven mindset.
- Fluent English; intercultural awareness for cross-country, multi-functional collaboration.
