AUREOS is seeking a hands-on SecOps Engineer
AUREOS is seeking a hands-on SecOps Engineer with a strong background in M365 Security to fortify and protect our critical systems, corporate IT infrastructure, and cloud environments. In this role, you will provide expertise on application, network and infrastructure security, and ensure the implementation of technical security controls supporting effective risk mitigation and contributing to the continual improvement of the company’s security posture.
Key Responsibilities
M365 Security
- Identify misconfigurations in M365 security controls
- Improve Intune Conditional Access policies (MFA, device compliance, location rules, BYOD), perform service account and legacy authentication risk assessments
- Support and remediate device compliance issues in preparation for Cyber Essentials Plus audits.
- Manage Defender for Office 365 (Safe Links, Safe Attachments, anti‑phish policies),
SecOps
- Proactively monitor security tooling and respond to threat detection alerts escalated by an external SOC.
- Perform triage, analysis, prioritisation, and response to security incidents using ServiceNow.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and recommend remediation actions.
- Work closely with the Infrastructure and IT teams to deploy secure systems, improve security policies, and implement security‑related changes.
- Implement and maintain ISO 27001 and ISO 42001 technical security controls.
- Document SecOps technical processes in line with corporate security policies and industry best practice.
- Create and maintain knowledge base (KB) articles for operational and incident response processes.
- Automate security operations and toolchains using PowerShell, batch scripting, or similar technologies.
- Produce a weekly Security Operations report, covering incidents, trends, metrics, and compliance posture.
