Role Purpose / Summary
The IT Service Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting global network functions, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to end users across the organisation. This position is focused on managing operational ("Run") and project-related costs for network services, while assisting in the development of financial plans for an evolving, globally integrated service landscape. The role requires a strong balance of stakeholder engagement, cost management, and coordination across technical and business teams.
A key responsibility of this role is to collaborate with the Vendor Manager and technical teams to gather and analyse requirements related to network services. The IT Service Manager will translate these requirements into financial forecasts and communicate them effectively to business units, ensuring transparency in budgeting, forecasting, and vendor-related payments. This includes supporting the financial planning process for both ongoing services and new technical solutions.
The IT Service Manager will contribute significantly to the organisation's cost optimisation initiatives. As the company continues to integrate multiple affiliates and standardise hardware and software vendors, this role will help identify cost-saving opportunities through vendor consolidation and contract optimisation. These efficiencies will be leveraged to reduce operational costs and reinvest savings into strategic projects or system enhancements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
