We employ around 35,000 people and deliver more than 1.5 billion passenger journeys every year, connecting people and communities safely, reliably and sustainably. About the Role
We're looking for an experienced and customer-focused IT Field Support Engineer to join our busy and dynamic Field Services team. Supporting approximately 100 sites across the UK, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional IT support, resolving technical issues, and contributing to technology projects that keep our business moving.
Based at Lacon House in Holborn, you'll provide a mix of field-based and office-based support, working closely with end users, technical teams, project managers, and third-party suppliers. If you're passionate about technology, customer service, and solving problems, we'd love to hear from you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
