Be a key player in our Solution Design team
The Solutions Support Consultant will support the Sales function by designing and positioning technical solutions that meet customer requirements, with a primary focus on Managed Service Provider (MSP) offerings. The role is largely desk-based and involves working closely with Account Managers, senior Solution Consultants, and technical teams to develop high-quality, commercially viable solutions leveraging Microsoft 365, Azure, and complementary platforms.
Additionally, you will be responsible for:
- Learning the full Opus IT product portfolio
- Supporting Account Managers with proposals, solution overviews, high-level designs, and related documentation that effectively communicates customer requirements and recommended solutions
- Preparing the technical detail for customer meetings, presentations, and bids, ensuring all aspects and methods are clearly articulated
- Supporting customer engagements, including meetings, workshops, and solution presentations, presenting ideas in a structured and professional manner
- Building positive relationships with customers, sales teams, and internal technical stakeholders is key to developing effective and cohesive solutions
- Keeping up to date with manufacturer and supplier updates and holding necessary targeted agreed accreditations

Salary
£47-£52k
Work Arrangement
Hybrid working - Based on a Wednesday in Reigate with occasional additional visit to office/client site
The Talents We Are Excited To See
You will have the following experience/skills:
- Min 3 years experience in the IT industry as a delivery engineer
- Microsoft certified in M365 and Azure ecosystem
- Experience with Acronis, Microsoft Defender, Mimecast and N-able
- Knowledge of Cloud computing solutions (Azure, VMWare, Hyper-V)
- Low-Level Data Networking design experience (LAN/WAN)
- Experience with data networking security (ACL, firewall rules)
- Some experience in a Presales / Consultant role, designing solutions and scoping support for M365 environments
- Experience of escalating to manufacturers when required, working closely with them until successful resolution
- Able to demonstrate focused customer care skills, both on site and remotely
- Strong written skills are essential for producing clear, concise, and high-quality documentation, including proposals and solution summaries
- Active listening skills are critical to accurately understand requirements and respond effectively to queries
- Ability to work well in teams and an organised self-starter
