IT Support Administrator (On Site)
Administrative Technician (IT & Digital Operations) - Anglo Skills College Ltd
Location: The Hub, 40 Friar Lane, Nottingham, NG1 6DQ Hours: 30–35 hours per week, Monday to Friday (09:00–16:00, typ.) Salary: Competitive Contract: Fixed-term (with promotion opportunities to permanent)
About the Role
This administrative role blends IT support with digital operations, requiring the successful candidate to oversee day-to-day college administration while managing IT systems, website content, digital marketing, and student support.
Ideal for a proactive, organised individual with technical confidence to handle both administrative and digital workflows across the college.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support
- Provide front-desk services, including:
- Telephone enquiries
- Visitor greetings
- Student/staff correspondence responses
- Manage the college inbox and administrative communications
- Maintain records: student/staff databases, registers, and documentation
- Support Principal/senior management in:
- Diary management
- Meeting agendas, minutes, and action tracking
- Document preparation (reports, presentations, emails)
- Oversee student admissions, enrolment, and record-keeping
- Liaise with awarding bodies, local authorities, employers, and external partners
- Organise open days, workshops, and marketing events
- Handle confidential data (GDPR-compliant)
- General office tasks: filing, scanning, photocopying, and data entry

IT Support Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Senior IT Administrator to:
- Provide first-line technical support for staff/students (hardware/software/user accounts)
- Maintain internal systems, databases, and online platforms
- Set up/configure devices, permissions, and digital resources
- Troubleshoot basic hardware/software/network issues
- Support classroom tech (projectors, smartboards, AV equipment)
- Escalate complex issues to external IT providers
- Manage IT inventories and system operation
Digital Marketing & Website Support
Work with digital channels to:
- Manage/maintain the college website and online platforms
- Create/manage content for:
- Websites
- Blogs
- Newsletters
- Social media
- Support SEO strategies, keyword research, and website optimisation
- Assist with Google Ads/PPC campaigns and social media promotions
- Support email marketing and student recruitment initiatives
- Monitor website performance using Google Analytics
- Produce digital content (graphics, video, podcasts)
- Research emerging digital marketing trends
- Analyse campaign performance and propose improvements
Skills & Personal Attributes

- Excellent written/verbal communication

- Precision with detail-oriented tasks
- IT literacy, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
- Capability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users

Technical Skills (Experience Advantageous)

- Website management systems (WordPress)

- Basic HTML/CSS/JavaScript
- Design/editing tools (Canva, Adobe, CapCut)
- Social media management platforms
- CRM and education databases
- Video editing, graphic design
Qualifications
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in:
- IT
- Computer Science
- Business
- Media
- Digital Marketing
- Strong Microsoft Office competencies
Desirable
- A-level/GCSE qualifications in related fields
- Relevant work experience (1–2 years in administration, IT, or digital roles)
- Education sector experience preferred
Additional Requirements
- Enhanced DBS check required (due to safeguarding responsibilities)
- Right to work in the UK
- Commitment to learner welfare and safeguarding
