A global hedge fund is building a new service desk team in London
This is an office-based role on the trading floor, supporting portfolio managers and executives.
Working closely with the Global Head of IT Operations, you’ll provide hands-on support to users by resolving technical issues efficiently and maintaining a high level of service.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve a broad range of day-to-day IT issues.
- Keep front office trading and market-data tools operational.
- Support executives and front-office users with a personal level of service.
- Manage incidents with urgency and clear communication.
- Take ownership of issues against agreed response times.
- Escalate problems to the right team when required.

Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in an IT support/service desk/ end-user support role.
- Experience in a financial services environment (buy-side preferred but not essential).
- A strong understanding of the impact technical issues can have on a trading floor.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills and a structured approach to problem solving.
- Excellent communicator with a professional, client-focused manner.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond confidently with stakeholders.

Working model
- Office-based 5 days a week.
- Rotating shift pattern with remote weekend cover 1 in 5 weekends.
- On scheduled weekends you will receive 2 days off in lieu during the week.
