Job Title: IT Support Assistant

Location: On-site in London Blackfriars (5 days per week, shift based hours)

Employment Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £44,000 + package

Start Date: Immediate

We’re currently supporting a major international live events and entertainment organisation as they look to hire an IT Support Assistant to join their European IT team.

This is a hands-on, front-line IT support role based at a London head office, supporting users across the UK and Europe. You’ll be the go-to person for day-to-day IT issues, new starter setups, hardware support and service desk requests, working closely with a global IT function.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their IT support career who enjoys being visible, customer-facing, and working in a fast-paced, professional environment.

IT Support Assistant – Key Responsibilities

  • Act as first-line IT support for European staff via a service desk system
  • Resolve hardware, software, and user access issues both remotely and desk-side
  • Set up laptops, mobile devices, printers and peripherals for new starters
  • Manage and maintain end-user equipment and meeting room technology
  • Support Windows and macOS environments
  • Escalate complex issues to relevant IT teams when required
  • Participate in an out-of-hours support rota
  • Occasionally travel to other UK and European offices or venues

IT Support Assistant – Key Skills Required

  • Experience in an IT support / service desk / desktop support role
  • Strong customer service and communication skills (VIP-facing environment)
  • Good knowledge of Windows and macOS troubleshooting
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory and user administration
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Comfortable supporting laptops, printers and office IT hardware
  • Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tickets effectively

Desirable Skills

  • French and/or German language skills
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools
