About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Engineer to join our client’s team—a well-established company providing bespoke IT solutions to businesses across the UK.

The role involves:

  • Delivering high-quality technical support to ensure smooth and efficient IT operations.
  • Providing an excellent career opportunity within a supportive and dynamic environment.
  • Operating primarily part-time, with potential to progress to full-time hours.
  • Working on-site and remotely, depending on business needs.
  • Requiring commuter eligibility from Cullen, NE Scotland (some office presence required).

Qualifications

Essential qualifications include:

  • A foundational understanding of IT systems and support processes.
  • Basic knowledge of:
    • PC hardware setup and configuration.
    • Networking concepts.
    • Diagnosing hardware and software faults.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A professional and proactive approach to customer service.
  • Experience in small or medium-sized business environments.

Responsibilities

  • Answer service queries (on-site visits, phone/email) to promptly resolve technical issues.

  • Take ownership of user problems, diagnosing and resolving them efficiently.
  • Respond to hardware/software inquiries, providing clear guidance.
  • Train and guide users on computer equipment, enhancing productivity.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior teams for timely resolution.
  • Document support activities and contribute to process improvements.
