About the Role
We are looking for a dependable and experienced IT & Cyber Engineer to join our growing service desk and support function. As part of our team, you will:
- Provide 2nd line IT support and escalation management (UK and UAE).
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across hardware, software, networks, and Microsoft O365.
- Manage cyber security incidents in collaboration with the SOC team.
- Configure and support on-site IT environments, including Wi-Fi and firewalls.
- Foster international collaboration across developers, security, and infrastructure teams.

This role requires initiative, security awareness, and cross-functional teamwork in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 2nd line IT support and escalate cases for UK and UAE users
- Troubleshoot and resolve:
- Hardware and software issues
- Network problems
- Microsoft O365 and productivity tools (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams) -Manage Microsoft Intune, including:
- Device enrolment
- Compliance policies
- Remote device actions
- Assess user onboarding/offboarding, email setup, and enterprise collaboration systems
- Configure small-to-mid-scale networks on-site, including:
- Wi-Fi deployments
- Firewall configurations
- Respond to and escalate cyber security incidents with the SOC team
- Contribute to patch management, endpoint protection, and vulnerability remediation
- Document known issues and create/update SOPs
- Update asset inventories and IT asset records
- Collaborate with developers, security, and cloud engineers across borders
- Participate in on-call and out-of-hours support (rotas covering evenings/weekends)
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in IT support (L2 or higher) or a service desk role
- Microsoft 365 proficiency:
- Outlook, Teams, SharePoint
- Microsoft Intune experience:
- Policy management
- Device compliance
- Remote configuration actions
- Hands-on experience with security alert management and incident response
- Capacity to set up and troubleshoot:
- Wired networks
- Wireless networks
- Ability to navigate ticketing systems aligned with ITIL
- Strong communication skills:
- Verbal and written interaction with both technical and non-technical users
- Ability to work independently while integrating into a distributed international team

Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Certifications in:
- Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900)
- Microsoft Intune (MD-102)
- Security, Compliance, and Identity (SC-200)
- Hybrid environment knowledge with Azure Active Directory (Azure AD)
- Familiarity with security standards such as:
- ISO 27001
- NIST frameworks
- Prior experience in public-sector or regulated industries
- Introductory-level basic scripting (preferably PowerShell).
- Any knowledge of automation tools is an added advantage.
