Are you a customer-focused IT professional who enjoys solving technical challenges and making a real difference to colleagues? We're looking for an enthusiastic IT Support Engineer to join our Technology team.
Reporting to the IT Systems Manager, you'll provide first and second-line technical support across the business, helping to ensure our IT systems, infrastructure and users remain productive and secure.
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same, you'll support users, manage core Microsoft technologies, maintain our IT estate and play an active part in delivering technology projects.
What you'll be doing
As our IT Support Engineer, you will:
- Provide first and second-line IT support, resolving hardware, software, Microsoft 365, Windows and network issues while managing incidents through the IT service desk to meet service levels.
- Configure, deploy and support desktops, laptops and mobile devices, maintaining our IT asset register and supporting office moves and hardware refresh programmes.
- Administer user accounts, permissions and the joiner, mover and leaver process across Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365.
- Manage our Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform and patch management processes to ensure devices remain secure, compliant and up to date.
- Support core business systems, including basic SQL database administration where required.
- Troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure, including switching, routing and wireless networking.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to IT systems and support processes.
- Support the delivery of IT projects and technology rollouts, working with third-party suppliers where required.
- Ensure compliance with IT security, GDPR and company policies while delivering excellent customer service.

What we're looking for
You'll have experience in an IT support environment, alongside:
- Experience providing first-line IT support in a business environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience administering Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Experience supporting Windows 11, Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and Wi-Fi.
- Experience using IT service desk or ticketing systems.
- Experience configuring and supporting desktops, laptops and mobile devices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- A customer-first approach and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding service.

- Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum, depending on experience
- Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday
