About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Support Engineer to join our expanding IT team in Belfast City Centre. This pivotal role involves providing expert-level support across our infrastructure, business applications, and end-user environments. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the stability and security of our IT systems, troubleshooting complex issues, and contributing to ongoing system improvements and project implementations. This is a hands-on position that requires a proactive approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both local and international teams. The Senior IT Support Engineer will also support IT projects, system upgrades, and migrations, ensuring seamless operations and minimal disruption to business activities.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background with proven experience in supporting enterprise-level IT environments. Essential qualifications include a solid understanding of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows Server and Desktop environments, and networking infrastructure. Experience supporting ERP or other critical business applications is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate excellent troubleshooting abilities, strong communication skills, and meticulous documentation practices. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, CompTIA Network+, or Cisco CCNA are advantageous. A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure are key attributes for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an escalation point for complex and high-priority IT issues, providing expert guidance and resolution.
- Support and maintain Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 suite, Active Directory, networking, and server infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Assist with planning, executing, and supporting IT projects, including system upgrades, deployments, and migrations to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with local users, business stakeholders, and global IT teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Provide hands-on support for hardware installations, network cabling, user account administration, and technology rollouts across various sites.
- Travel occasionally to European locations to support project implementations and operational needs, ensuring consistent service delivery across regions.
- Document all support activities, procedures, and configurations accurately to facilitate knowledge sharing and future troubleshooting.
