Location:
Cambridge, UK
Description & Scope
You will work with the global IT organisation to provide desktop support and IT service management to the scientific community in our Cambridge Research centre. You will be exposed to a wide range of tools and business processes. This is a great opportunity to learn about IT service delivery and management.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve PC incidents.
- Hardware & software maintenance and support.
- Asset management.
- Coordinate with Break/Fix vendor for hardware repair.
- Assist and work closely with IT security issue and virus eradication effort.
- Comply with IT standard processes and procedures.
- Active participation in regular staff meetings as coordinated by Service Delivery manager
- Maintain working area to professional standards.
- Comply with QHSE and IT security policies.
- Assist in running local and virtual conferences in our state-of-the-art conferencing facilities.

Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Studies or a related discipline
- Oral and written communication skills in English
- Good motivation, autonomy, teamwork, and ingenuity
- You will have a passionate interest in IT
- You have the ability to communicate technical issues to a wide audience
- Basic Programming principles
- Customer Service skills
