Volunteer IT Support Team Lead – Anti-Bullying Charity

We are looking for two volunteer IT Support Team Leads to join our charity. You will help manage key systems, processes, and data, resolve IT issues, play a leading role in developing our infrastructure, and manage a team of IT volunteers.


What Difference Will You Make?

We are an anti-bullying charity, focused on supporting individuals affected by bullying through intervention, prevention, and collaborative research with university neuroscience departments. Your role will play an important part in delivering our mission, increasing awareness, and strengthening the impact of our services.


What Are We Looking For?

Essential Skills and Experience

You’ll need a combination of technical and leadership skills to excel in this role. Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • IT applications and systems support – Strong hands-on experience
  • Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365 proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • System and network maintenance & troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication skills – Ability to liaise with colleagues, stakeholders, and volunteers across the IT function
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Workload prioritisation – Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently

What Will You Be Doing?

IT Support Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Creating and managing Microsoft 365 volunteer accounts, including welcome emails and Microsoft Authenticator guidance.
  • Removing accounts and licences for departing volunteers.
  • Managing SharePoint permissions in the WASC environment.
  • IT volunteer onboarding and guidance.
  • Writing user guides and support documentation for WASC users.
  • Providing tailored support on Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Creating and maintaining spreadsheets and administrative tools.
  • Assisting HR with IT volunteer recruitment and interviews.

IT Support Team Lead Responsibilities

You’ll also:

  • Oversee daily team performance, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Provide hands-on support when required.
  • Coordinate with other team leaders to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen systems, support, and team performance.
