IT Support Technician - Permanent - Cumbernauld
We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused IT Technician to join our team at Eurostampa UK. This role is responsible for ensuring that the company’s computer systems, IT equipment and related technology operate effectively, securely and reliably to support streamlined business operations.
The successful candidate will provide first-line technical support and practical advice to employees, resolving IT issues on site and through phone and email support. You will manage, prioritise and escalate support requests appropriately, while contributing to the ongoing development of the in-house IT function.
Working as part of the wider company IT team, the IT Technician will support day-to-day operational requirements, improvement activities and IT projects, liaising with Head Office IT in Italy where technical escalation, guidance or approval is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line IT support for Eurostampa UK, including helpdesk support, login issues, password resets, software queries and connectivity problems.
- Manage, prioritise and resolve incoming support requests, ensuring internal customer queries are handled efficiently and professionally.
- Create user accounts, support access requirements and escalate issues where required.
- Install computer hardware and software, update applications and carry out diagnostic testing.
- Prepare IT hardware for deployment and support the decommissioning of equipment at end of life.
- Undertake basic maintenance of computer hardware, IT equipment and related components.
- Monitor and manage local IT equipment stock levels, escalating requirements where necessary.
- Respond promptly to IT breakdowns to minimise disruption to operations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot software, hardware and connectivity issues.
- Provide direct end-user support, helping employees make effective use of company systems and software.
- Identify IT risks, incidents and recurring issues, escalating them appropriately.
- Support the use of security technologies to help protect company computers, servers and data against security threats, data leaks and cyber risks.
- Work with Group IT on specific projects and new system installations.
- Contribute to improvement activity, project support and the ongoing development of the IT function.
- Support business objectives and undertake other reasonable duties as required.

What We’re Looking For
- Experience in an IT support, helpdesk, service desk or technician role.
- Good working knowledge of computer hardware, software, user accounts, connectivity and general troubleshooting.
- Experience using CATO Networks, Nutanix, ESKO, Adobe, Dynamics 365 is desirable
- Relevant IT qualification e.g HND or degree level
- Ability to provide clear, practical and customer-focused support to employees at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate, diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Ability to prioritise workload, manage multiple support requests and escalate issues appropriately.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive, organised and reliable approach to work.
- Awareness of IT security, data protection and cyber risk would be advantageous.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, operational or fast-paced business environment would be beneficial.

Please note, this is a full-time position working 37 hours per week Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm, and Friday 8am to 1pm.
