Location: London | Employment: Full-time
Are you an experienced IT Systems Administrator looking to make a real impact in a dynamic environment? We seek a proactive, problem-solving professional to join our IT team and help drive our technology infrastructure forward.
This role offers a varied, ambitious work environment for someone passionate about tackling technical challenges and shaping IT strategies within a growing business.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of IT Infrastructure & Security, you’ll serve as a senior technical specialist, supporting daily operations while contributing expertise to our entire IT ecosystem. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with colleagues across the business
- Mentoring team members
- Leading technical escalations and infrastructure upgrades
- Pioneering new technology implementations
Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Be the primary escalation point for the IT team
- Solution Design: Develop and deploy technology solutions to accommodate business growth
- System Maintenance: Upgrade, support, and continuously enhance existing IT infrastructure
- Troubleshooting: Lead technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and service enhancements
- Team Development: Mentor and support IT colleagues to foster professional growth
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work with business leaders to execute technology projects and initiatives
- Documentation: Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation
- Future-Proofing: Research new technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement
- Project Management: Balance multiple technical priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Vendor Collaboration: Work with external partners to deliver reliable, secure solutions

Qualifications & Experience
Essential Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in Microsoft environments, including:
- Azure
- Windows Server
- Windows operating systems
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Strong Microsoft 365 administration expertise
- Experience with:
- Azure Active Directory
- Identity & Access Management (inclusive of SSO and MFA)
- Security technologies
- Windows PowerShell scripting
- Knowledge of Hyper-V and VMware virtualisation
- Comprehensive understanding of:
- Active Directory
- IIS
- Certificate Services
- NPS (Network Policy Server)
- Endpoint security
- Backup solutions
- Strong networking skills, covering:
- TCP/IP
- DNS
- DHCP
- SFTP
- Experience with:
- Microsoft Intune
- SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager)
- Mobile device management
- Proven experience in ITIL-based service delivery environments
- Ability to manage technical escalations and incident resolution
- Exceptional working methods, including:
- Communication
- Documentation
- Stakeholder engagement
- Prioritisation under high-demand conditions

Certifications Required
- Microsoft Windows Server or Client certification (or equivalent practical experience)
- Microsoft Azure or AWS certification (or equivalent experience)
- ITIL certification or relevant experience demonstrating ITIL framework knowledge
Desirable Qualifications (Bonus Experience)
- Linux and container technologies
- FortiGate firewalls and VPN management
- Polycom and AV (Audio/Visual) technologies
- Multi-site networking and high availability environments
- Tools such as FocalPoint, UniFLOW, AWS, AKJ/Aurora Affinity, or Autotask
- Experience in regulated or audited environments
