IT Systems Administrator
Albert Bartlett, a leader in the UK potato industry since 1948, is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive IT Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting and maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring systems run smoothly to support our business operations.
As an IT Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and improving our IT systems, troubleshooting issues, and delivering high-quality support to colleagues. You'll be working in a friendly, collaborative environment that values your ideas and knowledge, giving you an exciting chance to grow your skills and contribute to our ongoing success.
What You'll Do
- Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot servers, networks, and other IT systems
- Provide timely and effective technical support to users across various departments
- Implement system upgrades, patches, and backups to keep infrastructure secure and efficient
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to resolve IT issues
- Assist in IT projects aimed at improving our systems and processes
- Maintain documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and best practices

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in IT systems administration or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments, networking, and system security
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable manner
- Experience with backup solutions, virtualization, and cloud technologies is a plus
- A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and develop new technical skills

Requirements
- Relevant IT qualifications or equivalent practical experience
- Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, and network protocols
- Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development
