Gearset's IT Team
Gearset's IT team supports 350+ employees across multiple offices and a growing remote workforce. As we pursue an enterprise market, the expectation for a robust, secure, and highly available infrastructure has never been higher. We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented IT Systems Engineer to help keep our systems, endpoints, and networks running smoothly while supporting our strategic IT and security projects.

What You’ll Achieve
- Handle the day-to-day administration and maintenance of MDM and endpoint platforms (Jamf and Intune) to ensure fleet health and patching compliance.
- Administer and audit core Identity and Access Management (IAM) and SaaS lifecycles for seamless onboarding/offboarding.
- Serve as the primary 2nd line escalation point for our IT Support Technician, analysing systemic trends to reduce recurring tickets.
- Create and maintain thorough technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Troubleshoot office networking infrastructure to ensure consistent connectivity.
About You
- A proven track record in related roles such as IT support, Tech Ops, or EUC.
- Comfortable administering Apple/macOS environments with JAMF as our MDM platform.
- Strong working knowledge of enterprise SaaS platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, Notion).
- Familiarity with security best practices, patch management, and access control principles.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Salary is £50k (depending on experience).
- This is a full-time opportunity, working Monday to Friday from our Cambridge office with the option of flexible home working (for most of us that looks like 2-3 days a week in the office).
