IT Systems Engineer
Location: Manchester, office in the heart of the Northern Quarter
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Reports to: Head of Technology

Role Purpose
As an IT Systems Engineer, you'll help maintain and improve the technology that supports our people and business operations. Working across Microsoft 365, Azure, business applications, integrations, and AI-powered tools, you'll play a key role in delivering a reliable, secure, and efficient IT environment. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, supporting users, and exploring emerging technologies.

Responsibilities
Systems & Platforms
- Support and maintain Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and Entra ID
- Work with Azure-hosted applications and cloud services
- Support business-critical systems, integrations, and reporting platforms
- Use automation tools, including PowerShell, to improve efficiency
- Assist with platform enhancements and technology improvement projects
- Leverage AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot to improve workflows and productivity
IT Support
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support for colleagues across the business
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and application issues
- Manage user access and permissions
- Support meeting room and AV technology
- Act as a key point of contact for IT queries and service requests

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience supporting cloud technologies and business applications
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure
- Experience with PowerShell or other automation tools
- Interest in AI, automation, and emerging technologies
