IT Systems Support Professional (Grade RCS N) – DHL Supply Chain

Location

Cherwell 3, 2 Brookhill Way, Banbury, OX16 3ED

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

We are seeking an IT Systems Support Professional to ensure our operational systems remain agile, reliable, and aligned with the demands of modern logistics. This isn’t just technical support—it’s strategic problem-solving, driving efficiency, and empowering teams to thrive.


What You’ll Do

  • Deliver critical IT support for operational systems, including:
    • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), Transport Management Systems (TMS), and automation technologies
    • General desktop environments and business-critical applications
  • Act as the first line of IT resolution, diagnosing faults, triaging incidents, and coordinating escalations to ensure minimal disruptio
  • Support project activities from system installations, testing, deployment, and release planning to_create and maintain comprehensive IT documentation_
  • Manage IT infrastructure and hardware, ensuring systems remain secure, compliant, and fully operational
  • Train users, develop test scripts, and change management processes— Mitigating risks and ensuring smooth adoption of new solutions
  • Travel to the Banbury site as needed to provide hands-on support, ensuring continuous performance across both operational locations.

What You’ll Bring

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Strong IT experience, preferably in a logistics, manufacturing, or operational environment, with expertise in troubleshooting, system support, and fault diagnosis
  • Exposure to operational systems: Familiarity with WMS/WCS/TMS or experience in managing automation and digitalisation initiatives
  • Technical skills in areas such as:
    • SQL, automation tools, macros, data analysis, or Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
  • A deep understanding of IT infrastructure fundamentals, including:
    • Networking, hardware, software, and IT service management principles
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric mindset, with the ability to:
    • Train end-users and stakeholders
    • Manage requirements and change initiatives end-to-end
