Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join the Information Technology PMO team on a Fixed Term Contract basis and lead the end-to-end delivery of key technology transformation projects across King.
This role will support projects across a range of technical areas, including IT, Security, Networks, Cloud, and other infrastructure-related services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple high-visibility projects, working with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that project outcomes deliver clear business value.
Your role within the Kingdom
Project Planning and Delivery
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, and schedules.
- Lead the planning and delivery of multiple concurrent technology projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within agreed scope, and aligned to business priorities.
- Organise and lead project status meetings, working sessions, and stakeholder updates.
- Prepare and distribute clear project progress reports.
- Identify, manage, and escalate risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers.
- Track project progress and correct deviations from agreed plans.
- Maintain delivery plans and ensure regular, timely delivery of value.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, leadership, and external partners where required.
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across IT, Security, Networks, Cloud, and other business areas.
- Communicate project status, risks, decisions, and dependencies clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Translate complex technical information into clear, simple updates for non-technical audiences.
- Ensure stakeholder expectations are understood, managed, and aligned throughout the project lifecycle.
Team Leadership
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams.
- Support team development and help team members remain focused on agreed commitments.
- Remove roadblocks and help teams maintain momentum.
- Promote collaboration, accountability, and effective ways of working.
- Encourage a sustainable delivery pace while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Support a positive team environment where everyone is engaged and able to contribute meaningfully.

Process Management and Improvement
- Apply a balanced approach using both traditional project management and agile delivery practices.
- Define and manage clear project management processes appropriate to the size and complexity of each project.
- Champion continuous improvement across PMO processes and delivery ways of working.
- Support the adoption of agile project management best practices where appropriate.
- Help improve project governance, reporting, planning, and delivery consistency.
Skills to create thrills
The successful candidate should have:
- Available for occasional travel to King offices in Europe.
- Proven experience in technical project management, product management, or delivery management.
- Experience using both traditional and agile project management principles.
- A strong track record of delivering complex, high-impact technology projects.
- Experience managing projects across areas such as IT, Security, Infrastructure, Networks, Cloud, DevOps, or Software Development.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage competing demands across multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience working with business and technical stakeholders at all levels, including senior and executive stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of business needs and the ability to build trust with stakeholders.
- A proactive, flexible, enthusiastic, and results-driven approach.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- A creative approach to problem-solving, with the ability to balance detail with the bigger picture.
Desirable Skills and Experience

The following would be beneficial:
- Project management or agile certifications, such as PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, Product Owner, or similar.
- Strong mentoring, coaching, collaboration, and team-building skills.
- The ability to understand complex technical topics and explain them clearly.
- Previous experience writing code or working in a technical, infrastructure, or security-focused role.
- Experience working in a fast-paced technology or gaming environment.

Contract Type
This is a Fixed Term Contract role. The successful candidate will be brought in to support the delivery of defined technology transformation initiatives within the Infrastructure PMO.
