IT Technician Apprenticeship – Chuckery Primary School
Location: Chuckery Primary School Salary: £13,275.27 per annum Hours: 37 per week (term time, including INSET days) Contract: Fixed-term apprenticeship
The Governors of Chuckery Primary School are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Technician Apprentice to support the delivery of high-quality IT service.
Key Responsibilities
The role will involve:
- Providing first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues
- Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computers, printers, and peripheral devices
- Assisting with network setup and connectivity support
- Supporting the installation and configuration of software and applications
- Maintaining IT records, logs, and documentation
- Assisting with user account management and permissions
- Promoting safe and secure use of IT systems
- Supporting staff and pupils with IT-related queries

- Technical knowledge of IT systems, hardware, and networks
- Troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation skills
- Understanding of cyber security and safe digital practices

Requirements
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a genuine interest in ICT and technology
- Is keen to learn and develop new skills
- Possesses good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Can communicate effectively with staff and pupils
- Works well as part of a team and shows initiative
- Has basic IT knowledge (desirable)
- Holds GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade 4 or above
