IT Trainer / Process Analyst – Spire Solicitors LLP
The Opportunity
The IT Trainer / Process Analyst will design and deliver IT training, improve employee technical skills, and support the Head of ICT with process analysis and business improvement. This vital role ensures staff are confident using the firm’s systems, while also documenting, reviewing, and improving processes to drive efficient, secure, and compliant working across the business.
Based in a legal practice, this position requires a strong understanding of confidentiality, data protection, and accuracy when supporting legal and business teams.
- Fixed contract duration: 18 months
- Location: Office-based in Norwich, with regular travel to all branch offices (Attleborough, Aylsham, Dereham, Diss, Watton, Wymondham) for training and support
- Transport requirements: Candidates must have access to their own vehicle
The Role
The IT Trainer / Process Analyst will undertake a range of responsibilities, including:
IT Training & Employee Support
- Identify IT training needs across all offices and business areas.
- Design, maintain, and update training materials—including user guides, process notes, training videos—to support systems and workflows.
- Deliver IT training and Microsoft 365 workshops, covering:
- Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and Copilot
- Legal technology systems (practice management, case management, document management)
- Conduct refresher sessions, follow-ups, and ad hoc training in response to system updates, changes, and skills gaps.
- Lead the induction programme for new starters, covering core systems and processes.
- Provide practical in-person support and technical guidance after training, upgrades, or process changes.
- Resolution of user queries across software platforms, including the firm’s practice management system.

Process Improvement & Documentation
- Collaborate with departments to:
- Map, review, and document current and future-state processes
- Identify inefficiencies, risks, and growth opportunities
- Recommend technology-driven solutions for smoother workflows
- Support workflow design, testing, and continuous improvement in the practice management system.
- Produce and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process maps, and user guidance for consistent firm-wide practices.
- Evaluate training effectiveness via feedback, observation, and support trends, refining materials and delivery methods accordingly.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience delivering IT systems training, including:
- Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Copilot)
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation and facilitation abilities to train users at all levels.
- Consistent professionalism, attention to detail, and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
- Flexibility to coordinate and conduct training sessions (e.g., lunch-and-learns, evening sessions as needed).
- Prior experience in process improvement, process mapping, documenting procedures, or supporting business change.
- Awareness of UK data protection laws and information security in a legal professional services environment.
