IT Workplace Specialist

We are looking for an IT Workplace Specialist to help maintain a secure, modern, and efficient digital work environment. In this role, you will manage endpoints, software, and collaboration tools, including Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Windows/mobile devices. You'll provide technical support, work on local and global IT projects, and ensure our systems run smoothly to boost employee productivity. This position involves close collaboration with the local IT team, Corporate IT, and other METTLER TOLEDO sites in the UK, with occasional travel.

What You'll Do

  • Manage modern workplace: deploy, maintain and support endpoints and client software using tools like Intune and AutoPilot.
  • Set up workspaces and configure IT equipment, including conference room AV systems.
  • Provide user support and escalation (Tier 2–3): troubleshoot hardware, software, telephony and workstation issues.
  • Improve digital employee experience: manage collaboration tools, support AI adoption, and deliver user training and guides.
  • Document the IT environment and create/distribute clear user-facing documentation.
  • Coordinate with vendors on procurement, services and lifecycle management of hardware and software.
  • Maintain workplace infrastructure: install, troubleshoot and upgrade network devices, printers and firmware/software.
  • Support IT projects and pilots: gather stakeholder requirements, collect user feedback and assist with global/local rollouts.
  • Maintain workplace security: monitor Tenable and remediate vulnerabilities on client devices and servers; act as site IT first responder.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Experience of working in an IT department or as an IT consultant.
  • Experience with M365: Proficiency in managing Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, SharePoint, and security components.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Intune, SCCM, or other endpoint management solutions.
  • Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows), network protocols, security principles and patching. Experience in using IT support service management and help desk systems.
  • Ability to have strong customer focus and deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Willingness to collaborate, technically proficient with Excellent communication skills.
