Janitor – Cleaning & Facilities (Monday to Friday)
About the Role
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday
As Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our public or private buildings, ensuring a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for occupants and visitors.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Daily cleaning duties:
- Scrubbing floors, walls, windows, and surfaces using appropriate tools, equipment, and chemicals.
- Collecting and disposing of trash and recyclables, including emptying waste containers and sorting recyclables.
- Restroom maintenance:
- Cleaning, disinfecting, and restocking supplies (e.g., toilet paper, soap, paper towels).
- Checking that plumbing fixtures and fire extinguishers are functional.
- Safety monitoring:
- Identifying and reporting safety hazards.
- Ensuring emergency exits remain accessible and the premises are secured at shift end.
- Inventory & supplies:
- Tracking cleaning supplies levels and alerting supervisors when restocking is required.
- Ad hoc tasks (as needed):
- Carpet cleaning and floor buffing/waxing.
- Operating industrial floor-cleaning machinery.
