Janitor (Vacant) – Canlan Sports

We are now seeking a pro-active, hands-on Janitor to ensure the upkeep of our sports complexes and surrounding grounds.
Job Overview
- Role: Janitor
- Location: Various Canlan Sports facilities (Canada & US)
- Pay Rate: $20.50 - $22.60/hour
- Status: Currently Vacant
This role requires a self-driven individual to perform janitorial and minor maintenance duties, ensuring our facilities remain clean, safe, and well-maintained. If you thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and are eager to contribute while continuously improving, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities
- Perform general janitorial and maintenance tasks, following municipal building and fire codes.
- Keep entrances, grounds, and parking lots clean, clear, and safe, including:
- Property and grounds cleanup
- Grass cutting and edging
- Seasonal snow and debris removal
- Maintain accurate checklists, records, and reports for:
- Change room cleanliness
- Window cleanliness
- Washroom cleaning compliance
- Shower cleaning standards
- Parking lot and property cleanliness
- Perform vacuuming, auto scrubbing, waxing, and buffing according to floor care procedures.
- Assist with minor maintenance as required.
- Support ice maintenance during peak periods, short staffing, or as needed.
Education, Knowledge & Skills
- Preferred:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Building Service Worker Certificate (BC)
- Previous experience as a commercial buildings janitor
- Must Have:
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends, and call-outs)
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Approachability, team-oriented mindset
