Freelance Japanese-Speaking Designer / Artworker (Fully Remote)

Location: Fully Remote

Contract: Freelance

Start: ASAP

We're looking for a talented Japanese-speaking Designer / Artworker to support a variety of creative, localisation and production projects for international brands. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys producing high-quality artwork, adapting existing creative assets, and ensuring designs are culturally appropriate for Japanese audiences.

Working closely with creative teams, you'll be responsible for preparing artwork for digital and print, adapting layouts, maintaining brand consistency, and ensuring all deliverables meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adapt and localise existing creative assets for the Japanese market.
  • Produce high-quality artwork for digital, print and marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure typography, layouts and imagery are accurate and visually consistent.
  • Work from established brand guidelines and design systems.
  • Collaborate remotely with project managers, designers and clients to deliver work on time.
  • Carry out quality checks to ensure all artwork is production-ready.

Skills & Experience

  • Fluent in Japanese and English (written and spoken).
  • Previous experience as a Designer, Artworker or Production Designer.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Experience localising marketing or digital content for Japanese audiences.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a strong understanding of typography and layout.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and work independently in a remote environment.
