Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Java Developer to design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality Java-based applications and services. This role requires strong expertise in Java development, Spring technologies, RESTful APIs, and microservices, along with a passion for building scalable, maintainable, and high-performing solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software while contributing to continuous improvements in development processes and engineering best practices.
What you will do
- Design, develop, test, and deploy Java-based applications and services.
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and development teams to understand business and technical requirements.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and system issues.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency, and maintainability.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, third-party services, and relational databases.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and engineering practices.
- Support Agile development activities and collaborate effectively within Scrum teams.

Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Java, including Core Java and Java SE/EE.
- Hands-on experience with the Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices-based applications.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Experience using version control systems such as Git.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
- Experience with build automation tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud is preferred.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is preferred.
- Understanding of Agile and Scrum software development methodologies is preferred.
