Java Developer London
Salary: £38,000 - £55,000
We're supporting a leading cyber security consultancy who are looking for a Java Developer to join their growing engineering team. The organisation helps governments, businesses, and critical organisations defend against cyber threats, reduce risk, and operate securely in an increasingly connected world.
Working within small, specialist engineering teams, you'll develop high-performance software solutions that process large-scale data and support advanced security and threat detection capabilities.
This is a great opportunity for a Java Developer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and working with modern technologies in a security-focused environment.

What you'll be doing:
- Developing and delivering high-quality software solutions using Java
- Working across the full software development lifecycle
- Designing and building scalable systems and services
- Contributing to architecture and technical decisions
- Working with modern technologies including microservices and security platforms
- Writing and maintaining automated tests to ensure quality and reliability
- Supporting client integrations, demos, and technical discussions
- Continuously improving development processes, tools, and approaches

- 3+ years commercial experience developing software with Java
- Strong Java development skills
- Experience with:
- Spring / Spring Boot
- Microservice architectures
- Apache Maven
- Git and modern source control practices
- Experience writing automated tests and maintaining high-quality code
- Ability to work effectively within small, collaborative engineering teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset
