Java Developer
SC Cleared Java Developer
SC Cleared Java Developer to join a leading public sector organisation, developing and supporting modern Java-based applications and services within a secure, enterprise-scale environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy Java-based applications and services.
- Build and maintain scalable REST APIs and microservices.
- Collaborate with architects, product teams, and developers to deliver technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to development best practices.
- Optimise application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Support integration with databases, APIs, and third-party services.

Skills & Experience
- Strong Java development experience (Core Java, Java SE/EE).
- Experience with Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Strong SQL and relational database experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar).
- Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
- Good understanding of object-oriented design principles and design patterns.
- Experience with Maven or Gradle build tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Desirable
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
Security Clearance
Active SC Clearance is required.
