About the opportunity

This is an opportunity to register your interest in future Java Developer opportunities within our growing technology practice. We are looking to connect talented Java specialists with cutting-edge projects across the UK, from Manchester and Birmingham to Leeds and beyond, where you could contribute to building scalable, modern solutions that make a real impact.

What you would do

Typical responsibilities could include:

  • Developing and maintaining Java applications using Spring Boot and Spring frameworks
  • Building and integrating microservices architectures with a focus on scalability and performance
  • Working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP to deploy and manage applications
  • Implementing CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes
  • Collaborating with teams to design and implement RESTful APIs
  • Writing clean, maintainable code and contributing to code reviews
  • Working with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Supporting the development of distributed systems and data pipelines

What you could bring

Most roles of this type require the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Strong experience with Java and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Framework)
  • Working knowledge of microservices architecture and API development
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automation practices
  • Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases
  • Experience with version control and collaborative development practices
  • Authorization to work in the United Kingdom

  • Oracle Certified Associate or Oracle Certified Professional Java SE certification
  • Spring Professional certification (VMware)

  • Exposure to data quality, ETL pipelines or Power BI
  • Experience with SAP systems (SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC or SAP RISE)
