About The Role

We are seeking a talented Java Developer to join Kainos’s dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing high-quality software solutions that enhance our Workday offerings and positively impact users worldwide. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management and other technical specialists, to design, develop, and implement innovative features and functionalities. This position offers an excellent opportunity to deepen your technical expertise, learn about emerging technologies such as AI and cloud computing, and contribute to projects that make a real difference. You will participate in agile development processes, influence technical decisions, and help shape the future direction of our solutions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about coding, problem-solving, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in building and testing modern software applications with a focus on Java development.
  • Strong knowledge of Java and TypeScript programming languages.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience working with frameworks like Angular, Spring, Hibernate, or Dropwizard.
  • Understanding of database systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of common design principles and patterns to create scalable and maintainable software.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Flexibility and resilience in overcoming obstacles to meet project goals.
  • Creative problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to finding innovative solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions aligned with project requirements and best practices.
  • Collaborate with product teams to understand requirements, propose technical solutions, and influence project direction.
  • Implement new features and functionalities within the existing architecture, ensuring performance and security standards are met.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure software quality.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and workflows.
  • Engage in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and incorporate relevant technologies into projects.
