What you’ll be doing
- Designing and building scalable backend services using Java and modern frameworks (e.g. Spring Boot)
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver new features end-to-end
- Improving system performance, reliability, and maintainability
- Writing clean, testable code and contributing to best practices across the team
- Supporting deployments and monitoring production systems
- Taking ownership of features—from idea through to release
Tech you’ll work with
- Java (core + modern versions)
- Spring Boot / Spring ecosystem
- RESTful APIs & microservices architecture
- Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- CI/CD pipelines and containerisation (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
- Databases (SQL / NoSQL)

What we’re looking for
- Experience building applications in Java in a commercial environment
- Solid understanding of object-oriented design and software engineering principles
- Experience with APIs, microservices, and scalable systems
- Familiarity with cloud environments and modern deployment practices
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- A mindset of ownership and continuous improvement
