The eBusiness team are an experienced and dedicated team committed to providing Softcat's customers with a market leading eBusiness offering. Their main aim is to make Softcat easier to do business with whilst driving cost savings and efficiencies into everyday activities for both Softcat and our clients.

As a Developer, you will be responsible for building and implementing new functionality on Softcat's eBusiness portal.

You will ensure the customer's experience is always outstanding by delivering the required features and functionality to meet and exceed customer and business requirements.

As eCommerce Developer, you'll be responsible for:

  • Analyse requirements and define relevant and efficient technical solutions
  • Develop workable solutions, producing clean efficient code from technical specifications and requirements documentation.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and 3rd party partners to understand, analyse and implement API integrations between relevant systems
  • Support, maintain and fix existing functionality
  • Optimise the platform for maximum speed and scalability

We'd love you to have:

Technical Skills:

  • Expert knowledge in Java with practical experience and recent use of Java 21
  • Proficiency in SQL, JSON, HTML, XML CSS, JavaScript, Groovy, and other web development languages
  • Knowledge of Python, CXML, Azure would also be beneficial
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms. Git technologies/experience and GitLab would be beneficial
