Role Overview:
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Java Developer specializing in AI/ML to work on a full-time basis. The engineer will collaborate on the definition, design, and delivery of new features with cross-functional teams. The company is developing the next generation of dialog agents for education, entertainment, and general question-answering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient, high-quality code to train and optimize AI models.
- Conduct evaluations (evals) to benchmark model performance and analyze results for continuous improvement.
- Evaluate and rank AI model responses to user queries across diverse domains, ensuring alignment with predefined criteria.
- Lead supervised fine-tuning (SFT) efforts, including creating and maintaining high-quality, task-specific datasets.
- Collaborate with researchers and annotators to execute reinforcement learning with human feedback (RLHF) and refine reward models.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for backend development.
- Experience with training and optimizing large language models (LLMs).
- Ability to design and execute evaluation strategies for AI model performance.
- Familiarity with supervised fine-tuning (SFT) and reinforcement learning with human feedback (RLHF).
- Strong problem-solving and technical reasoning skills for AI model alignment.
