About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with Investment Banking experience to join a global technology team building high-performance front-office trading applications. You will work closely with Traders, Sales, and Quants to design, develop, and enhance scalable, low-latency trading platforms.

Location: London, UK (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Job Type: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop front-office eTrading applications.
- Build scalable, high-performance solutions for complex financial systems.
- Collaborate with Traders, Sales, and Quants to deliver business-driven technology solutions.
- Improve platform stability, performance, automation, and engineering standards.
- Troubleshoot performance and scalability challenges.
- Support global development teams and production environments.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Core Java and server-side development.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, and Multi-threading.
- Experience with Linux and Relational Databases.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, concurrency, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
- Experience with Agile, TDD, CI/CD, and modern software development practices.

Preferred Experience
- Experience developing financial trading systems / eTrading platforms.
- Knowledge of Fixed Income products (Repos, US Treasuries, Interest Rate Swaps).
- Experience with REST services, JSON/XML, KDB, and ION Trading.
- Experience with tools such as GitHub, Jira, Sonar, TeamCity, IntelliJ, and Gradle.
- Familiarity with AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Devin.
