Join Capgemini’s Cloud & Custom Applications (C&CA) practice, where we Consult with Purpose, Continuously Evolve, and Architect Tomorrow. As a Java Full Stack Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering scalable, resilient, and future-ready digital solutions for our Financial Services clients. Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to the design, development, and evolution of modern applications that create measurable business value. This role is ideal for a collaborative engineer who is passionate about continuous learning, quality engineering, AI-enabled ways of working, and helping organisations accelerate their cloud transformation journeys.

Hybrid working:

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role:

  • Design and deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable business applications that support client outcomes and long-term growth.
  • Contribute to the development of modern cloud-native solutions that improve agility, resilience, and operational efficiency.
  • Create intuitive and accessible user experiences that enhance customer and colleague engagement.
  • Develop and integrate services that enable seamless communication across business capabilities and enterprise systems.
  • Collaborate with architects, product teams, quality engineers, and delivery stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Champion engineering excellence by promoting quality, automation, reusability, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Ensure solutions meet performance, security, availability, and reliability expectations throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Support continuous delivery and operational readiness by contributing to efficient release and deployment processes.
  • Investigate and resolve complex issues, driving service stability and performance optimisation.
  • Foster a future-ready engineering culture through knowledge sharing, innovation, continuous learning, and awareness of AI-enabled delivery practices.

Your Skills:

  • Strong experience delivering enterprise-grade full-stack applications using Java and modern web development frameworks.
  • Proven experience designing and building cloud-native, distributed, and microservices-based solutions.
  • Strong understanding of backend application design, API development, security principles, and integration patterns.
  • Experience developing responsive, reusable, and user-focused front-end solutions.
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including testing, code quality, version control, and continuous integration principles.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Solid understanding of application performance, scalability, reliability, and operational support considerations.
  • Experience working with relational and/or non-relational database technologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and adopting AI-enabled practices to enhance delivery outcomes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
