Founding Price Engine & Product Engineer | London | Hybrid | Permanent
We’re working with a brand-new financial markets technology business to hire a Founding Price Engine & Product Engineer to help build a next-generation market pricing platform from the ground up.
This is a rare opportunity to become one of the founding engineers in the business, developing the core Java pricing engine, APIs and customer-facing product. We’re looking for someone with strong Core Java experience, a background in pricing or market data systems, and the ambition to thrive in a fast-paced, AI-enabled start-up environment.

What you’ll be doing:
- Building a deterministic Java/Spring pricing engine for financial market data
- Developing APIs and a React-based web application for analysts and customers
- Designing governance workflows to calculate, review, and publish benchmark prices
- Working closely with the CTO and fellow founding engineer to build the platform from scratch
What we’re looking for:


Get help with your application

- Strong Core Java experience, ideally with Spring
- Experience building pricing engines or calculation-heavy systems within financial markets
- Some exposure to React/JavaScript and an interest in full-stack development
- A hands-on engineer who enjoys building products from the ground up in a start-up environment
