Java Software Engineer
Java Software Engineer with around 4-6 years professional, post-graduate experience sought by one of the original Quantitative Hedge Funds, with a 20+ year track-record.
The firm is renowned for a healthy, supportive, and collegiate working environment and culture, with no silos, boasting an industry-leading staff tenure. This hire will be part of a core Software Engineering team, responsible for the vast majority of all applications in the business from front-to-back office. This includes Order Management & Trading Execution, Risk & Finance, Straight-Through-Processing, and Corporate Functions. The team deals directly with business users right across the firm, taking ownership of analysis, design, architecture, and implementation, working primarily with Java, but also with Python, SQL, and to a lesser extent, MATLAB.

Responsibilities
- Work with the Software Engineering team
- Responsible for the vast majority of all applications in the business
- Deal directly with business users
- Take ownership of analysis, design, architecture, and implementation
Requirements
- Around 4-6 years’ experience
- Exposure to modern software engineering techniques such as CI/CD
- Excellent Computer Science Fundamentals, OOP, Concurrency, and Java Generics
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong academic background in a numerate discipline, especially Computing / Computer Science, preferably from a leading University

Compensation
- Salary of £70-120K

- Onsite in Central London 3 or more days per week
