Java Team Lead (Remote Gaming Platform - RGP Core & Data)

Job Summary

We're looking for a Java Team Lead to lead a team and develop features for our Remote Gaming Platform (RGP)—our innovative platform delivering world-class games to millions of players globally. As part of Roxor, you will spearhead an agile development team responsible for RGP Core and Data, collaborating on cutting-edge gaming solutions.

You’ll manage line-of-service teams, solve complex problems, lead code development, and work closely with Product Owners (POs) to deliver exceptional features. Daily engagement with games teams ensures seamless integration of their offerings with our platform, ensuring seamless experiences for players worldwide.

Process

  • Drive continuous process improvement including team workflows, standards of quality, and technical best practices.
  • Ensure delivery standards are met by refining CI/CD pipelines and practical solutions.

Delivery

  • Monitor progress against sprint goals, ensuring high-quality, functional solutions.
  • Lead improvements to team velocity and delivery efficiency, as required.
  • Actively engage with Product Owners and stakeholders to align solutions with business objectives.

Hands-On Development

  • A significant portion of your time will be spent advancing your team's codebase, contributing to core functionalities and architectural decisions.

Must-Have Requirements

  • Direct line management experience: a minimum of 1 year managing teams of developers/QAs.
  • Experience in agile methodologies, including leadership or participation in Scrum teams (or as a Scrum Master).
  • Core Java development expertise for server-side systems.
  • Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB.
  • Strong Spring framework knowledge (especially its core libraries).
  • Testing best practices: a solid track record of implementing both unit and integration testing.
  • Proven experience developing high-volume, highly available websites.
  • Adherence to Maven and Git for project version control and builds.
