Senior Full-Stack Java & React Specialist
Associate Partner">Innovative Finance Group – London (3 days from office)
Job Summary
We are seeking a Specialist with hands-on experience in Java and React to design, develop, and maintain scalable, cloud-native applications. Ideal candidates will have deep expertise in Core Java, multithreading, Kafka, Kubernetes, AWS, and a strong background in the investment banking domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust applications using Core Java, ReactJS, and associated frameworks
- Utilise multithreading algorithms and data structures to build efficient, scalable solutions
- Develop and maintain cloud-native applications leveraging Kubernetes and AWS services
- Implement RESTful APIs and gRPC for seamless frontend-backend integration
- Build responsive, user-friendly UI components using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and state management tools like Redux or Context API
- Integrate Kafka for event streaming and real-time data processing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyse, and implement business requirements, particularly in investment banking and risk domains
- Follow best coding practices, ensure code quality, and maintain thorough testing standards
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in Java, React, cloud-native technologies, and investment banking trends
- Troubleshoot and debug application issues to optimise performance and reliability
- Document application design, architecture, and operational procedures

Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead development initiatives within the React, Java, & Cloud-Native skill set
- Design and implement RESTful APIs & gRPC services for smooth integration
- Work closely with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments in Kubernetes & AWS
- Mentor junior developers in Core Java, ReactJS, Kafka, and Cloud-Native best practices
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives)
- Ensure security, compliance, and best practices in application development
- Optimise application performance and scalability using monitoring feedback
- Resolve production incidents to maintain high system availability
- Apply domain expertise (investment banking & risk management) to align technical solutions with business needs
