React Developer – Challenge Role (Hybrid)
Location: Burgess Hill (Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite)
Contract & Rate:
- Duration: 12-month initial contract
- Day Rate: £250 per day (outside IR35)
About the Opportunity
We’re collaborating with a global, well-established organisation seeking a React Developer to join their high-performing engineering team. Your mission would be to push modern, scalable digital products used by thousands of users, within an environment that prioritises quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
This is a role for an engineer who thrives in mature development environments and wants to make a meaningful impact through clean code, seamless architecture, and user-centric design.

- Designing and building responsive web applications with modern frontend technologies.
- Developing data-driven user interfaces and dynamic, form-based experiences.
- Collaborating with product, UX/design, and engineering teams to implement high-caliber solutions.
- Crafting clean, maintainable, and testable code adhering to best practices.
- Contributing to architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
- Ensuring robust testing frameworks and automated quality assurance are integrated.
- Advocating for software delivery excellence and technical leadership.
Experience & Skills
To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
Must-Haves
- 5–8 years’ experience in software engineering, with a strong frontend development focus.
- Proficiency in React and deep expertise in TypeScript.
- Significant experience building complex, data-driven UX and schema-driven applications.
- Working knowledge of dynamic forms and frontend architecture.
- Understanding of testing frameworks and technologies (e.g., Jest, Cypress).
- Experience collaborating in large-scale, distributed engineering teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
