The International Excellence Scholarship offers a 25% tuition fee reduction to high-achieving international students commencing their studies at James Cook University (JCU) for the first time. This scholarship provides an opportunity for students to focus on their studies without worrying about the financial burden of tuition fees.
Scholarship Stipend Value: 25% tuition fee reduction
Degree Program: Full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programs (excluding certain programs)
Available in: James Cook University (JCU)

Eligibility Criteria
- Be an international student commencing study at JCU for the first time
- Be a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate student
- Not be enrolling in certain programs (Diplomas, End-on Honours degrees, Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Graduate Certificates, Graduate Diplomas, online and non-award programs)
- Not be enrolling via a JCU partnership
- Meet the required academic achievement (ATAR of 65 or equivalent for undergraduate students, 65% or above achievement for postgraduate students)

How to Apply
No separate application required
- Eligible candidates will receive an offer for their program of study and the International Excellence Scholarship concurrently
- Apply for your program through the JCU online application portal
- Visit the JCU website for more information and to apply
Scholarship Rules
Scholarship rules apply and will be provided to candidates at the time of offer
Important details to note:
- The scholarship is only available to new students commencing their studies at JCU for the first time
- The scholarship is not available to students enrolling in certain programs (listed above)
- The scholarship is not available to students enrolling via a JCU partnership
- The scholarship is only available to international students
- The scholarship will be awarded to eligible students automatically, no separate application is required
