About Your Program You’ll be joining the JD Young (JDY) Internship Program, designed to give early-career talent hands-on exposure to real projects, real responsibilities, and real growth. Over 3–6 months, you’ll work alongside experienced teams, build fundamental skills, and gain insights into how a global business operates. About Your Program You’ll be joining the JD Young (JDY) Internship Program, designed to give early-career talent hands-on exposure to real projects, real responsibilities, and real growth. Over 3–6 months, you’ll work alongside experienced teams, build fundamental skills, and gain insights into how a global business operates. Alongside mentorship and learning experiences your day to day role will cover responsibilities such as: Partner with category managers, suppliers, and vendors to manage demand forecasts, stock levels, budgets, and lead times across products. Develop and maintain SKU-level forecasting models and tools to drive accurate demand planning. Monitor and analyse sales trends, promotional activity, and seasonal factors to improve forecast accuracy Support the Supply Chain team in implementing best practices for inventory management, leveraging new tools and processes. Track and report on KPIs including fulfilment rates, availability, stockholding, and inventory quality through standardised weekly reports. Identify risks and opportunities in the supply chain, proposing proactive solutions to minimise stockouts and overstocks. About You Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related field. Experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management, ideally within the FMCG sector in the UK is preferred. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel; experience with SQL, VBA, Python, or other analytical tools a plus. Proven ability to work with complex data sets and translate insights into actionable supply chain strategies. Track record of driving process improvements, implementing systems, or managing change initiatives. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
