Jetting Assistant
Jetting Assistant – North and Central Wales Team
Location: Kinmel Bay Hours: 47.5 hours per week Salary: £13.50 per hour (depending on experience)
We’re recruiting a Jetting Assistant to support our teams in proactive and reactive wastewater network maintenance for Welsh Water. Join this 4+ year contract and build a long-term career with Lanes Group.
About the Role
You’ll work closely with an HGV Jetting Operative to maintain Welsh Water’s wastewater infrastructure, delivering exceptional service across North and Central Wales. This role offers full training and a supportive culture focused on professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the HGV Jetting Operative in setting up, operating, and managing high-pressure jetting equipment
- Conduct inspections to detect blockages, leaks, and potential issues
- Complete electronic site documentation using a tablet
- Work safely by adhering to method statements, risk assessments, and company procedures
- Ensure tools and equipment remain in excellent condition
- Maintain, wear, and inspect all PPE standardly

Experience & Training Requirement
Essential
- Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points)
- Any prior experience in the drainage/utility sector is highly advantageous
Full Training Provided
The role covers all necessary certification, including:
- Water Jetting Association (Red or Blue Licence)
- ** Banksman**
- NRSWA (New Roads and Streetworks qualifications)
- EUSR National Water Hygiene Testing
- Medium-risk Confined Space Entry (Height not required)
