Jewellery and Watch Sales Consultant - Beards, Cheltenham
Established in 1804, Beards is one of the UK’s longest-standing independent jewellers. For more than 220 years, we have helped clients celebrate life’s most meaningful moments through exceptional jewellery, fine watches, and expert craftsmanship. Alongside our own collections, handcrafted in our Cheltenham workshops, we proudly represent some of the world’s most respected watchmakers and jewellery houses. From engagement rings and bespoke commissions to luxury timepieces and aftercare services, we offer a complete luxury experience built on trust, expertise, and outstanding service. We’re looking for a Jewellery and Watch Sales Consultant to join our team in Cheltenham.
The Role
This is an opportunity to become part of a family business with six generations of heritage, where exceptional client service is at the heart of everything we do. Working within our showroom, you’ll help clients discover jewellery and watches that mark some of life’s most important occasions. Whether assisting with an engagement ring purchase, guiding a client through the purchase of a watch to celebrate a milestone, or helping organise a repair or bespoke commission, you’ll play an important role in creating memorable experiences and lasting relationships.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
