Location: Actemium Birmingham (site travel required)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Actemium Birmingham, delivering electrical installation and maintenance solutions to some of the UK's leading automotive manufacturers and industrial clients.

As an Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance and upgrade of electrical systems and infrastructure within industrial sectors of manufacturing plants, production facilities and industrial environments across the UK. Working on a variety of projects, from plant upgrades and production line modifications to new equipment installations, you will play a key role in ensuring electrical systems operate safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

This is a site-based role that will involve working at customer facilities throughout the UK, with occasional travel and overnight stays where project requirements dictate. You will work closely with project teams, engineers and customers to deliver projects on time, maintain compliance with industry regulations and support the continuous improvement of manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the installation, commissioning, maintenance within the industrial sectors that we service.
  • Carry out site surveys and assessments to support project quotations and delivery.
  • Liaise professionally with customers, contractors and stakeholders on-site.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with current electrical regulations and company procedures.
  • Support the preparation of technical proposals, quotations and design submissions.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop innovative and practical solutions for customers.
  • Provide customers with guidance on the operation and benefits of installed charging equipment.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship, housekeeping and health & safety.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Essential

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • ECS/JIB Gold Card.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Strong understanding of electrical installation and testing practices.
  • Willingness to travel and undertake occasional working away from home.
  • Inspection and Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent).
  • Experience working within commercial and industrial environments.
