What You’ll Do At Elekta:

As an Applications Lead you’ll play a pivotal role in improving and supporting our Atlassian tools in the R&D Programs at Elekta.

Working within the Engineering Tools Stream of the Process & Tools Team, you will be responsible for Atlassian software applications and the overall life cycle management of them, with particular emphasis on Jira Cloud. Working alongside the Continuous Improvement and Engineering Intelligence Streams, you’ll work directly with business colleagues across the teams within R&D to ensure the successful implementation and on-going maintenance, support and enhancement of Jira Cloud and related applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing and implementing the design, deployments, operational performance and support of Atlassian software applications with a focus on Jira Cloud.
  • Leading the overall evaluation, configuration, and deployment of enhancements to applications including apps and integrations, incorporating feedback received from streams within Process & Tools, business functions, SMEs, user groups and development teams.
  • Supporting internal software applications roll-out and user adoption in business functions.
  • Collaborate with other functions (e.g. PMO and IT Services) to support delivery and harmonise the overall support process, including incident and access request management, identifying opportunities to optimise and shift-left.
  • Governance documentation detailing the SDLC for the solution.
  • Access model detailing the Roles & Permissions.
  • License and maintenance documentation.
  • Initiating and supporting with application assessments, including security, system validation, architecture, infrastructure, procurement and data privacy as needed.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelors in Information Technology or similar area, or other relevant degree, or proven ability to work within these areas
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Atlassian products with particular emphasis on administration and support of Jira Cloud in a medium/large deployment is a must.
  • Experience working in and an appreciation of agile/lean approaches and culture.
  • Understanding the balance between empowering agile/lean teams and providing governance frameworks when using tools such as Jira.
  • Vendor management.
  • Experience managing both IT operations and investment budgets would be a bonus.
